Rita Hisar, Art Exhibition

Born in Hamilton, Canada, Rita Hisar is a Contemporary Artist of Italian/Czech descent who uses a palette knife and bold, vibrant colors to capture "the Beauty of the Moment": "Beauty is very temporary, transient-a smile, an ice cream cone, a flower- it doesn't last -I want to capture it with bright colors and incredible texture that comes from using a palette knife.

Although she has always painted, she has only seriously pursued an art career after working as a lawyer and teacher. Her studies at The Ontario College of Art and Design University and The Toronto School of Art inspired her to create her unique Urban Art Style combining elements of Fauvism, Expressionism and Pop Art.

She is currently represented by New York Gallery, Mahlstedt; Southern California Gallery, Five 3 Gallery; Art By Toronto and Art Provo in the Caribbean. She has had exhibitions in New York, Miami, London, Toronto and the Caribbean.

Rita Hisar's beautiful paintings will be on display at our upcoming reception and art show! Thursday, May 11 will be a night of fun, art, and delicious refreshments.
